Give back to the community today.
The Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps (MVAC) provides 24/7 Advanced Life Support (ALS) coverage to the Village of Mineola, New York. MVAC's headquarters at 170 Elm Place houses 3 ALS ambulances, 1 ALS fly car, 2 Chief's cars, and numerous volunteers from all walks of life.
Members of MVAC are required to be certified, or be working toward certification, in emergency medical care by the State of New York. New members without a certification will be sponsored for the required training, which can also lead toward college credit. Members are also required to maintain a call attendance percentage to maintain their membership. In order to join, applicants must reside in a village whose closest boundary is not more than five miles from the Mineola Ambulance headquarters, although once an applicant is admitted for membership they must only meet their call percentage, regardless of place of residence.
We invite you to fill out an application to join our organization. Please stop by our headquarters at 170 Elm Place, Mineola, NY 11501 (map) to fill out an application or to ask any questions you may have.
